Slide guitarist Debashish Bhattacharya, and his tabla-playing his brother Subashish will present an evening of Hindustani guitar music. This Grammy-nominated artist is one of Indias most esteemed musicians and has performed with musicians such as Derek Trucks, Jerry Douglas and John McLaughlin. Debashishs music, spirit, and generosity have won him new admirers and devotees around the world and we are thrilled to have him open our tenth anniversary festival.

American Music Center Live Music For Dance Program Awards New Grants
This year's grantees include: Ringside Elizabeth Strebr "Brave," with music composed and performed by David Van Tieghem; Attila Jelinek Company for Truth, a new commissioned work by Hahn Rowe performed by ICE; Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company for New commissioned score composed and performed by Glen Velez and four additional musicians; Carolyn Dorfman Dance Company for "Tikkun" featuring a commission from Greg Wall and live music performed by an ensemble of five musicians; Sarah Michelson Group for "Dover Beach" with music created and performed by Peter Drungle; and Company SoGoNo for Art of Memory, music created and performed by Miguel Frasconi.
