Donnie C is driven towards the celebration of different cultures of music with the sole concept of expressing to those who listen to his music the value of love with in his songs. Donnie C wishes to express one clear message to prevail and resound- LOVE - (period).
Donnie C sounds are mesmerizing, hypnotic capturing & enchanted. Donnie C wishes to persuade – ALL - that love is the most important thing in our lives. Secondary to that is the way we express love to each other.
A singer, a self- taught keyboardist, and a songwriter by heart, Donnie C is a native of Portsmouth, Va. His first exposure to the music industry was being a lead vocalist in the Gospel Swannetts of Portsmouth,Virginia, a family Gospel group. Legends in their own rights, the group performed songs like "God is Real" and "Oh I want to See Him" during the early nineties.Being born in a family of talented people ignited Donnie C's passion for music and led to his passion for songwriting. His first song was titled, "You're so Special." Later, he wrote "Never Change your Heart Desire" and "Happiness Is Just A Step Away."
Donnie C has performed up and down the east coast, in
various talent showcases and charitable events: The Kessler Institute of West Orange NJ, The YWCA of Newark NJ and Edison Job Corps of Edison NJ He has performed at Willet Hall in Portsmouth,Va. Uncle Louies Resturant, Norfolk Virginia. Just to mention a few more the; Amarachi Lounge, Five Spot In Brooklyn NY.and Tropical De Lights in Virginia Beach Virginia. Donnie C has also appeared as an extra in the making of the movie My Brother in NYC, also Law and Order in 05, Donnie C also performed in the 2007 International Music Festival in Nashville, Tn and Performed as a head liner opener for the 2007 Rome and Juliet Festival of Nashville, Tn
