The journey has been short yet long and it in some ways has just begun. Here is how this project got started.

In July of 2005. Amanda Powell began writing lyrics for the present project "If Humans Could Fly" after a heartbreak that was waiting to happen. She endured 3 years of hurt and wonder from this love that ravished her mentally and spiritually.
That same month, she bagan teaching herself chords, power chords, rhythms and progressions from guitar books and mimicing her favorite bands to learn how to progress in different styles.

In the summer of 2007 marked the first performances of her musical career. At Fellow Worshipers Christian Church in Albany, Ga, she set the stage for the first feeling of standing infront of an audience with eager ears. It was hard, but she did it. She also realized that was not the way to approach her newfound stand in her music; she decided to record and branch out.

On November 21st, 2007, the project I.H.C.F. (If Humans Could Fly) questoined audiences of myspace music with songs like "Troubled One", which caught recognition by promotional label zoomoozik. "Closer", though Powell didn't think so at the time, would accually gain recognition with her listeners as a deep and touching song that helped express manys feelings in life or with a person they lost. Other songs are liked just as well, like "Green" and "Apocolypse".
